NDTC’s trained candidates came to play in every race. For the first time in a century, all 100 Virginia House districts had a Democratic candidate on the ballot. And after eight years of consistent investment in the Commonwealth, our trainees won more than half of their school board races, proving what long-term investments can build for our bench.

In Georgia's state legislature races, NDTC trainees shined. 55% of Democrats on the ballot were NDTC-trained, and 36 now serve in the legislature — 35% of all elected Democrats. Notable wins include Tangie Herring (GA House District 145), who secured a battleground victory by just 300 votes, and Nicole Messiah (Dekalb County Commission District 3), our most active learner with 116 trainings completed.
NDTC isn’t just training candidates — it’s delivering results!
Since 2016, NDTC has trained over 128,000 Democrats. Collectively they have taken 396,000 courses, events, or resources — including 1,300 live events in all 50 states. Through these efforts, over 10,000 candidates have trained with NDTC and over 4,700 have won general election races nationwide.
In 2024 we had 2,700 general election candidates, a 37% increase from 2022.
In 2025, a so-called "off year," NDTC trained 1547 candidates — and 964 won! That includes 50 mayors, 640+ city council and school board members, and 20% of the Virginia House delegates who kept the state blue.
Our winners span the breadth of the Democratic party, and you may recognize some names: Lauren Underwood, Maxwell Frost, Josh Harder, Emily Randall, Suhas Subramanyam, Yassamin Ansari, Jasmine Crockett.
