NDTC Trainer
U.S. RemoteContract RoleInterested in helping train thousands of Democratic candidates, staffers, and local party leaders across the country? Here is your opportunity to empower and train passionate Democrats across the country. The National Democratic Training Committee (NDTC) is a hybrid PAC that offers free training and interactive online courses for Democratic candidates, staff, and local party leaders and aims to empower any Democrat with the tools needed to win.
Job Description
The National Democratic Training Committee is looking to hire contractual trainers with expertise across multiple campaign disciplines including field tactics, GOTV, digital strategy, communications, fundraising, and management & leadership.
Our trainings are driven by strategic learning objectives and full of all the information, resources, and tools our learners need to be successful. We design the curriculum for you so that you are able to focus exclusively on facilitating engaging sessions. We are looking for dynamic trainers that can bring the material to life and add their own real-life campaign examples that will leave a lasting impression on the attendees.
To date, NDTC has trained over 126,000 people in all 50 states. In order to execute a program of this scale and ensure we provide participants with the best training possible, we recruit, screen, and train a cohort of talented trainers across the country.
We are looking to grow our group of nearly 50 trainers and we want you to join us! This role is for a 1 year contract, effective January 1, 2026.
We are particularly interested in candidates from the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to our training programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in the mandatory "Train-the-Trainer" virtual retreats on January 13th, 2026 (new trainers only) and February 10th, 2026 (all trainers).
Facilitate excellent live trainings, virtually and/or in-person, for NDTC learners throughout the 2026 year.
Have availability to train (at a minimum) three virtual live training sessions, typically ranging from 60-90 minute sessions. Additional in-person training opportunities will also be assigned as they become available.
Commitment to partnering with NDTC on professional development as a trainer and facilitator, with an opportunity for a compensated 1:1 conversation during the calendar year.
Work with the Live Training Team and NDTC staff as needed to discuss training needs, identify problems, and implement solutions to ensure the best training curriculum possible
Work closely with other trainers to support NDTC learners and build community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Cross-functional expertise across multiple campaign disciplines: field tactics, fundraising, communications, and digital strategy
Relevant experience with electoral or issue-based campaigns (2+ years)
Experience training in-person and virtually
Ability to work well with learners of all backgrounds and experiences
Exceptional facilitation skills
Interest in growing their skill-set as a trainer
Strong organizational skills, especially when it comes to preparation for training sessions
Reliability, strong communication skills, and dependability
Available time to dedicate to training (i.e. at least 3 virtual trainings and/or 3 weekends a year of in-person training)
Location
This contractual position is remote, with potential in-person training opportunities available as they arise. In-person trainings often require weekend availability, with travel usually on Fridays and Sundays for the Saturday training. Travel and accommodation costs are covered in addition to the training stipend.
To adequately accommodate our programming requests, we are prioritizing candidates located in the West Coast, Midwest, and Southern regions.
About NDTC as an Employer
NDTC believes that our differences enhance our strength as a political party—and as a nation—and we as an organization benefit from staff of diverse races, ethnic origins, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, economic backgrounds, abilities, and other facets of our identities. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+.
Application Process
Applications will be accepted until midnight ET on October 30th, 2025. Apply by October 22 for priority consideration. The interview process for this role will include a 2-step process which we expect to take approximately 1 month.
