Getting Started in Politics: From Inspiration to Action
02/18 Wed • 7 pm ET

Description
Join the National Democratic Training Committee on Wednesday, February 18th at 7-8 pm ET for a special virtual event celebrating the legacy of Black political participation and the trailblazers continuing that work today. We’ll pair our classic training with a panel of professionals who are experienced in the challenges Black candidates and staff face in political spaces and ready to share their insights with you.
In this training and discussion, we'll cover:
Different entry points and career paths in politics
What it really takes to break into the field and build a sustainable career
How to navigate political spaces while Black
Practical next steps you can take right away
This event is for you if you're inspired to work in politics but aren't sure where to start, or if you want to hear honest perspectives from people who've walked this path before you.
This Black History Month, we honor the legacy of Black political participation — from those who fought for the right to participate in our democracy to those serving in elected office today — by empowering the next cohort of leaders to enter political spaces and push forward.
