An Individual’s Guide to Combating Disinformation

Welcome to “An Individual’s Guide to Combating Disinformation,” the first course in our two-part series on identifying and combating fake news and false information.

This course will focus on teaching individuals strategies for identifying and combating disinformation online and in face-to-face situations. These tactics are useful for anyone in Democratic politics, from volunteers to candidates. 

The second course in this series, “Combating Disinformation for Democratic Campaigns,” will zoom out to focus on strategies for combating disinformation specifically for Democratic campaigns. No matter your role on a campaign, we encourage you to complete this course first before moving on to the campaign-focused tutorial.
